About Us

HB+LB at PatMed

Welcome to Worldwide Voices!

Worldwide Voices began to offer collaborative arts and media programs in 2006.

We have developed songwriting workshops, original musical plays, and multicultural/multilingual events with diverse Long Island populations. We continue to sponsor unique opportunities for all ages to learn about new languages and cultures as they work together to create and prepare public presentations for theaters, galleries, schools, libraries, and community centers.

HOWARD BECKERMAN (Founder/Chair) is President of Heartworks International. A composer, lyricist, and playwright, he is also a language educator, media producer, and author of award-winning musical programs and publications for learning languages. He has an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Columbia University.

LINDA BECKERMAN (Founder/Executive Director) is Vice President of Heartworks International. An artist and a writer, she has also served as Project Manager for programs in new play development, multilingual publishing and media, and not-for-profit arts and education grants. She has an M.F.A. in Painting from Rochester Institute of Technology.
